Shackleton Lodge is the larger of our two main accommodation buildings, it can support a maximum group of 24 young people on the floor in the main hall, there are four side-rooms, one contains 3 bunk beds (sleeping 6), one has 2 single -beds (sleeping 2) and the other two has two bunk-beds (sleeping 4).
Kipling Lodge is the smaller of our two main accommodation buildings, it can support a maximum group of 20 young people on the floor in the main hall, aside from which there are three side-rooms, two contain 2 single beds (sleeping 2 in each bedroom), one contains a single bed (sleeping 1).
The activity centre has a large open plan main room, with a small kitchen area (with hot water/boiler/sink/fridge/microwave). It can be used for activities, meetings, training, presentations, film nights, dinner parties, indoor camp-fires etc, it is fully equipped with projector/sound system/wifi.
The Lodge is a multi-purpose facility, ideal for meetings, training sessions, and now fully equipped with a widescreen, High-Definition, Dolby Surround cinema! A place for leaders to use during a camp or event, somewhere for formal meetings, functions or presentations, or the perfect venue for a movie night!
Birches 2 is a very small site with no water tap, facilities or shelters on it.
(Family Site) Birches 3, is a large grassed site, it has a large shelter where you can set up an entire kitchen, with onsite water tap. It has a large campfire circle.
A 3 socket adaptor on a lead that you can use to distribute power from our site power connections (site power must be booked as well).

The mini-crossbows are suitable for all ages, a paper target can be kept as a souvenir, no instructor or permit is required, these are low power mini-crossbows.
A leader must supervise the use of the mini-crossbows at all times., there is sufficient space for 3 shooters at once.

New for 2023 is our outdoor kitchen, a large covered cooking shelter with a firebase and seating/campfire circle adjacent.
The kitchen is equipped with a large wood-fired pizza oven, LPG BBQ, with a large central counter top for group food prep along with a sink with hot/cold water.

Crate Stacking is a fun activity that promotes group co-ordination and team work. Teams construct the highest tower of crates possible. It’s a challenge to see who can climb the highest, quickest and balance without falling off. The participants climbing the crates are safely secured overhead via belayed ropes.

Bushy Wood has a single orienteering course spread across the 17 Acre woodland.
Supplied in the orienteering kit are maps, compasses, clipboards, pens/pencils.
There are at least 8 sets of compasses etc available, participants can of course be paired up, or placed in groups.
