The Oaks Scout Campsite is in a beautiful part of Leicestershire, in an area called Charnwood Forest, which now falls within the National Forest. The site consists of 10 acres of Ancient Oak Woodland and 10 acres of grassland and holds two buildings (1 offering indoor accommodation) and offers a range of activities.
The smaller of our 2 bookable buildings, the Alpine hut is used as a shelter with a kitchen and dining area. As this is unsuitable to sleep in, site 2 is booked alongside this building.
The field on site is separated into 11 sites to be able to pitch tents. Please book this if you are camping without the use of a builing.
The Oaks largest building, capable of sleeping up to 30 people. There are 2 bunk rooms with 8 and 6 beds inside. The building also comes with a kitchen, toilets, tables & chairs and a projector that can be hooked up to a computer. Site 7 is automatically booked with the Clarke hut so camping is also available.
