Collect and identify tree leaves. Spot birds and wildlife.

Resources

Leave identification handout, bag, first aid kit, mobile phone, change for car park.
Parent helpers.
Sun cream, hats suitable footwear.
Raincoat in case of bad weather.

Instructions

Instruct the beaver to work in colony.
On the hike ask each colony will be supervised by a leader and will be tasked to collect as many different tree leaves and spot as many different birds and animals.
At the end of the hike count up the number of different trees found. The colony with the most wins 10 bonus points.
Extra points for most different birds and animals spotted.
