A camp favourite


Resources

Bread (white or sandwich bread works best)
Jam (any flavour)
Flour (for coating or batter)
Eggs (2-3 for dipping)
Milk (a splash to mix with eggs)
Sugar (for coating)
Oil (for frying)

Instructions

Make a batter from flour, eggs and milk (or just milk and eggs - see step 3)
Make jam sandwiches and cut into quarters
Dip jam sandwiches into batter or lightly flour outside of sandwich and dip into egg and milk mixture
Heat oil in frying pan
Fry the jam sandwiches until golden brown
Remove onto kitchen paper or serviette
Dust with sugar
Eat with care, the jam may be hot
