Instructions

The explorer scout runs the activity, being in charge of the briefing, set up, checking of personal fall protection equipment and one-to-one instruction down the abseil for other unit members.

An experienced, trained leader interrupts where necessary to ensure safety, and harnesses and helmets must be checked, as well as set up before anyone can descend.

This event went brilliantly and enabled knowledge and skill to be tested and consolidated in a safe environment.

We split the groups into 2, with 4 or 5 members in each.
