stave circle balancing game

Staves/brush poles - 1 per player

Instructions

Give all scouts a stave
Tell them to form a circle and hold the stave up right with one hand, the stave must stay in contact with the floor
Then when you say one left / right they let go of their original stave and grab one to which ever way the command says. no pushing the staves over.
Make it harder by calling more than one

Similar version: played in the same direction each time, moving on the count of 3.
If a stave/brush pole is dropped the player is out and takes the stave with them, leaving that space empty. This makes the next round a bit more difficult.
Repeat each round, with different spaces getting wider, until only a few or two players remain for the final.
