Use fleece blankets to make ponchos

Resources

fleece blanket per cub, wool, wide-ish needles, old badges (poss beaver badges or occasional badges), scissors, lots of help (aim for one adult to two cubs)

Instructions

In the centre of the blanket mark the width of the cub's shoulders, cut a line between these marks. Use wool to sew a blanket stitch around the edge of this cut adding 3-5 stitches across each end of the cut to prevent accidental splitting.
A letter, name or symbol can be drawn on the blanket and sewn over with a backstitch.
The old badges can be sewn on.
