Description

Beavers to plant cress and see how quick it grows

Resources

Cress seeds
Cotton wool or a little amount of compost
Cups
name tags

Instructions

Get the Beavers to fill their cups with either a small amount of compost or with some cotton wool pads/balls. Get them to dampen the cotton wool or compost with some water and then spread a few seeds over it. Make sure that the seeds are in a damp patch in the cup. Get them to put their names on the cups and then they take them home. Over the next week they see how quickly it has grown. It is also to see depending on where you stand the cress how well it will grow ie a window sill. Then the week after we use the cress to make sandwiches.
