Visit Local Castle
prearranged through historic scotland as educational visit.
Hike to castle and get train back (train both ways if weather bad), each child has own picnic lunch

first aid kit
emergency contact sheet
Each Child has to bring a small rucksack, lunchbox and juice bottle and wearing suitable clothes for hike

Instructions

Hike the kids along coastal path to visit local castle (hike walked earlier by leaders to risk assess)
visit castle and use the provided booklet and items discuss life in medieval times
have picnic at castle
get train back ( check train times beforehand)
