A parachute game for storytelling with a moral, from POL
parachute and a copy of Aesop's fable : The wind and the Sun
Spread the play parachute out and ensure that all the Beaver Scouts know how to hold it
- Arrange them evenly around the edge
- Tell the Story of the Wind and the Sun
- As you tell the story the Beaver Scouts use the parachute to act out each part – thrashing wildly as the wind, pulling the parachute round them as the man shivers, etc.
- Afterwards ask if they can think of times when persuasion worked better than demands
