card board boxes, straws and bottles, sellotape and scissors, (glue and corrugated card optional)

Instructions

set the patrols the challenge of building 1,2 or 3 model rainwater harvesters. during that time take pairs of scout s out from each patrol to play the Wateraid dice board game. to develop understanding of the issue. repeat as time allows. they can discuss what happens in the game as they return to the patrol and another apir come to play the game. repeat and repeat. at the end judge the harvester models, and if the patrol leaders have not had a chance to play the game you could ask them questions about the high and lows on the game and the related consequences and their patrol could feed them the answer.
