Visit to local IKEA for tour around their recycling systems to find out how recycling impacts on different parts of the store.
Contact the local manager to arrange visit to recycling areas that IKEA run as part of their commitment to energy saving. Area's covered include furniture made from recycled material, rain water used for flushing toilets, yellow shopping bags made from corn, extendible beds, light bulbs, lights, cardboard & the bio mass heating system. Lots going on to keep the Cubs entertained, tour takes 90 minutes and the parents are usually happy to stay and walk round the shop in peace & quiet. Our IKEA has kid size yellow safety jackets which they handed out for duration of the tour. I've attached a quiz I use the following week to reinforce the various recycling activities.
