Description

Identify a location where the Easter Eggs can be stached. Then note the grid references from a map for the letters that make up the location place name. Set the challenge to find the location from the map then set them off to get to the location.

Resources

Copies of the appropriate map.
Paper and pencils.

Instructions

Start the evening by going over map references.
Identify a location where the Easter Eggs can be stached.
Stache the eggs, in my case park the car out of site of scouts making there way to the meeting.
Then note the grid references from a map for the letters that make up the location place name. ( in my current version "church car park"
Set the challenge to find the location from the map by converting the list of map refs to a word then set them off to get to the location.
May wish to jumble up the letters in a further challenge.
If you are finishing the event at the location then make sure pick up drivers are aware of a different finish location.
