Cubs generate ideas for activities for next term.
'Headings' for activities
Small slips of paper
Write a number of headings (five works well) for groups of activities on pieces of paper. Fix these to the front of (or above) bags or buckets. Young people then have 5 minutes to write ideas for each heading on small pieces of paper and drop them in the buckets.
With Cubs (especially if they have not done this before) it is a good idea to keep the headings simple: indoor activities, outdoor activities, places to go and activities to try are all headings that work well. You could also have a leader stood with each container to check the activities before they are placed in the bucket. Make sure that these adults understand that they are checking only that the idea can be understood and that it is vaguely practical. They are there to weed out the 'trips to Mars'!
