Children take part in assault course a part of a team. An option for scouts is they carry a large pioneering pole between 2/3 over the course without it touching the ground.

Pre-made assault course - use hoops, old bike tyres, gates made from pioneering poles, space hoppers, cones, bean bags, buckets, ropes, sheets to crawl under - lots of options. Scouts can be asked to design and build the course prior to the timed event. Often works beter if marker tape used to denote lanes and direction.

Children in groups to be timed to complete assault course. Take the best of 2 runs.
First of all get them to take their own pulse (resting) and then take their pulse again after running a couple of circuits before doing the assault course (or whilst they are waiting for their turn.
