Description

Beavers draw round their hands in coloured paper, write their name in the hand and a 'quality' they like in a friend. All the Beavers hands should be stuck on card joining in a large circle to symbolise the circle of friendship in the Scout movement and to emphasize the important qualities a friend should have.

Resources

different coloured paper, scissors, pens, large sheet of card, and glue to attatch hands to card

Instructions

pair new beavers with existing beavers if possible to draw round each others hands. cut hands out with supervision if required. Get Beavers to write their name and write or draw a picture of a quality of what they think or would like a friend to have. Stick completed hands onto a large sheet of card to make the 'circle of friendship'.
