Game to teach Scouts how to pack a rucksack for camp.

Resources

1 set per patrol of rucksack, roll mat, sleeping bag, some clothes, boots or shoes, waterproofs, cup and plate, wash bag, torch, pen knife, bin bag

Instructions

Each patrol is given an empty rucksack. All items at opposite end of room and Scouts take turns to run up and collect an item which has to be packed immediately. They will therefore need to collect lighter / side pocket items first. At the end of the game the rucksacks are unpacked and laid out for 'kit inspection'. Leader to mark where the items were in the rucksack and give a point for each correctly packed item.
