An US flag, blank US flags & red & blue crayons. Also green plant canes & sellotape if wish to put on stick for waving

Instructions

Supply flag to copy. Children colour in blank flag. Discuss 13 stripes - original 13 colonies who declared Independence from Britain 4 July 1776. 50 stars - 50 states from 1959 when Hawaii declared a state.
Include in programme with talk about dollars & Presidents then add a game of baseball & hot dogs to use towards Friendship Challenge
