Identify local trees and keep a record of them

Leaves
Sticky tape
Watercolour paint
Paintbrush
Paper
Shoe cleaning brush
Shoe polish
Blotting paper or kitchen roll
Disposable gloves

Instructions

Using the leaf like a stencil.
Place on paper and stick down with sticky tape. Carefully paint over the leaf, just going over the edges and let it dry. Slowly lift the leaf and your are left with a perfect outline.
Use a shoe brush to carefully dab on shoe polish to one side of the leaf. Dead leaves are good for this. When fully covered turn it over and press firmly onto a piece of paper. Press with blotting or kitchen roll
