Instructions

Explain what we're doing and have a chat about Charities. What do they do, why do they do it, how are they funded? Brainstorm names of charities on a board.

Watch the two videos (Both are quite long, you may want to skip some of them).

Allow them some time to pick which charity they wish to learn more about and split into groups (if they wish).

Give them the Information Sheet to take home and fill in.

Get them to write down the web address for their chosen charity (www.forgotten-paws.com or www.toybox.org.uk)

It would be a good idea to send your parents links to these videos before your meeting, so that if the Scouts want to talk about it the parents won't be left in the lurch.
