Jump the River

A quick 15 min running/jumping game.


Two thin ropes.


1. Stretch two parallel ropes across the ground.
2. Line the players up along the rope. They take turns to jump across the parallel ropes, without touching either rope.
3. If they touch a rope or land in the river, they are 'out'.
4. After everyone has had a turn, widen the river.
5. Keep doing this until there is a winner.
