Description

Cubs do different levels of fitness and measure their heart rate before and after each one.

Resources

Skipping ropes; watch/clock with second hand; music

Instructions

Each Cub is given a chart on which they complete their heart rate at the start of the meeting before any exertion.
They then participate in three activities: 1) lie on floor for two minutes; 2) dance to music for two minutes; 3) skip for one minute.
After each activity they measure their heart rate and record on their chart.
Cubs are asked why they think their heart rate changes according to what they do.
