Description

To convey how the day-to-day lives of ordinary people are shattered, if not changed forever, when a landmine injures them.

Resources

Enough copies of each cropped photograph to have one per group of 5-6 people. You will need one copy each of the full size pictures.

Instructions

Give each small group a copy of each of the cropped photos.
Ask them to work together to devise a story about each of the pictures. What do they think might be happening?
They may want to record their story by drawing pictures or in writing. When they are ready, ask each group to describe their story to everyone else. When this is done, give each group the full photographs. Tell them to look at them and ask each group to read out the captions.
