Description

Beavers decorate a Pringle tube style container to make a simple drum

Resources

coloured paper (we went with Pan African colours cut into strips to link with our Africa theme), glue, enough containers for at least 1 each

Instructions

A4 paper landscape wraps nicely around the tube - will need equivalent of 1.5 sheets per Beaver to allow choice/coverage
Beavers decorate their tubes in the style of the meeting/own choice then use their instrument in a drumming activity as a colony
For our Africa theme we also talked about (briefly) the colours, links to flags and role of drumming in African culture
