How far can each six get their balloon to travel

Resources

Balloons, string, straws, sticky tape.

Instructions

Provide each Six with a balloon, a straw, some sticky tape and a piece of string.
The aim is for them to get the balloon the furthest distance possible.
What they should do is thread the straw onto the string and then hold the string up tightly.
The Cub Scout at the end with the straw should hold the string up in the air, while the Cub Scout at the other end holds it at a lower level.
Then they blow up the balloon and hold the end tight, without tying it up.
The inflated balloon can then be taped to the straw so that when they let go of the opening, it flies straight along the string.
