Cones, apples, string, small twigs, plastic dowels, scissors, lard, bird seed, gloves, bags to put them in

Instructions

Tie string to pine cone/ thread through apple using plastic dowel. Attach twig to end of the string (for the bird to perch on). Mix up lard & bird seed. Press the mixture into the cone or into holes cut out of the apple skin.
Hang in garden for birds.
