Being the firework display

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Using glow sticks and torches covered with cellophane, make and photograph your very own firework displays

Resources

glow sticks, torches or bike lights (either coloured or covered with different colours of cellophane), camera with night setting or slow shutter speed, laptop to show children pictures (optional)

Instructions

Split beavers into small group or lodges, share out glow sticks (2 each worked well) etc, and let them experiment with making shapes and patterns (running, jumping, waving, throwing or rolling sticks etc). Then take photos with night setting and/or slow shutter setting so they can see the firework display they've created. You could also video it. Back inside while warming up they can look at pics on laptop and guess which one they made.
