A good icebreaker to use or just after a set of holidays. This activity will get the girls talking to each other.

Resources

Chairs, set up in two lines, facing each other.
Stopwatch/Timer
List of Questions

Instructions

The girls sit facing each other and have a certain amount of time to talk to their partner about whatever question is posed. The questions asked could be anything from what they did at the weekend to something they want to do in the upcoming term. When the timer has run out, shout stop and move on to the next statement.
Example:

Move three chairs to your left and talk to the person next to you about something you did in the summer holidays. (Set the timer for 3 minutes)
Move two chairs to the right and talk to the person opposite you about something you would like to do in Guides this term. (30 seconds)
