Craft activity - make a penguin from a paper plate

Paper plates, white, black and orange card, double sided tape, black paint

Instructions

We chose to paint the plates in advance so they could dry - you could get the children to paint the plates one week and finish the next week)

1)Paint the back of the paper plate with black paint and leave to dry.
2)Pre-cut two white circles for eyes and two smaller black circles for the inside of the eyes. Cut triangles for beaks and feet out of the orange card.
2)Once dry, with the unpainted side up, fold in the sides of the plate in to make the "wings" and the fold down the top down to make the "head". Secure with double sided tape.
3)Stick on the beak first, then eyes and then feet.
