Pile of identical OS Explorer maps, or similar (e.g. tourist maps of a town centre)

Instructions

With Beavers in groups:
- Show the Beavers an OS Map, and explain a bit about how they work. Explain the map uses symbols to represent things, rather than an actual picture/photo of them.
- Ask the Beavers what symbols they can see on the map, and ask them to guess what the symbols might mean. Then show them the map key from the OS Map and see how close they were.
- Ask the Beavers to find where they are on the map.
