Planning a 3 course menu in groups, including finding recipies, making a shopping list, and writing step by step instructions to follow (including what equipment they need)
Recipes (leaders to bring some, scouts to provide majority of ideas), Pens, paper, food wheels
Get scouts into groups from previous week. Discuss a balanced meal, and the relevant food groups (food wheel diagram on blackboard). After group discussion get them to pick a meal, using the recipes available. Then think about what equipment they need - do we have everything? Can they change the recipie to adapt to the equipment available? Then split in to pairs, two write out the shopping list, two write out the method. Then swap to check each other's work. Leaders to check these as we go along. Game to finish.
