Instructions

The Canals and River Trust can provide a "water safety box" which includes holding objects and a feely bag. Alternatively put your own together using the "Leaders notes" attached.

Take out an item at a time (or a child picks one) and children have to discuss why that might be related to water safety. There could be red herrings in there, or not depending on how much time you have.

Ensure that the message of never jump in to rescue someone comes across and how to get help.
