Help pitch a tent indoors

1 or 2 small tents (some small tents have the poles that you put through the middle similar to a proper tent)

Instructions

Introduction:
Explain to the Ladybirds about the different types of tents (e.g. 2 man tent, 4 man tent).
Most of the tents that are used for camp are big tents and take more than one person to put them up. Discuss what
else you would need to bring if you were going camping.

Instructions:
If using the pop up tents with the poles, first lay out the poles and join the pieces together. As the pieces are quite long when joined together. You may need one Leader to help each Ladybird as they feed the poles through from one end to the other end. Repeat this for the other poles (usually two in a small tent). When the tent is up, all the Ladybirds take turns in going into the tent (shoes off) and then help taking the tent down.
