Description

This experiment will have you making rain inside, much to the delight of your kids.

Resources

• saucepan
• water
• ice cubes
• oven mitt
• adult assistance

Instructions

Ask an adult to boil some water in a saucepan.

Using oven mitts to protect your hands, hold a tray of ice above the steam.

Drops will begin to fall like rain from the tray!
Why?

The cold surface of the ice-cube tray cool the steam from the boiling water, changing it back into water in the form of rain drops.
