Four chairs or markers to show the corners of the square where the scouts will run around

Instructions

Every players removes their left shoe and leaves it in the middle of the square. Then they line up around the outside of the square facing the same direction. The leader then shouts out commands such as run, walk, crawl, hop, skip, jump etc. The scouts follow these while moving round the outside of the square doing the command just given. While this is happening the leader removes one shoe and when he's ready should lions pounce and all the scouts race to the middle to get any shoe, the one without a shoe is out and the process continues
