Picture of a swallow, magpie and robin
Copy of the statements about the birds
Sheet of paper with pictures of the three birds so they can keep a record of seeing these birds during the week

Instructions

Introduction
The Ladybirds will learn how to recognise three common garden birds and will learn some facts about each of them in a fun way.
Instructions
Stick each of the three pictures of the Magpie, Robin and Swallow on different walls in the hall. Tell the girls they are going to hear some statements about these birds and they have to go and stand beside the correct picture if they think that the statement is about that bird.
Debrief/Discussion
Following the activity ask the girls if they have seen these birds in their gardens or if they have bird feeders and if they watch the birds in the garden.
