Read books individually and check them against the '2nd Class Citizens" scale, or choose a story/film everyone is familiar with, and rate it.

Notes: Attitudes towards disabled people have changed greatly in the last few decades. Many books do not reflect these changes.

Summing it up: When you see a disabled character portrayed in a story/movie, check to see of he/she is shown fairly.
