Description

Make fog in a glass to explain how fog is created.
Explanation of reaction:
The cold air from the ice cubes collides with the warm, moist air in
the bottle causing the water to condense and forming an eerie fog.

Resources

glass jar
strainer
water
ice cubes
Matches

Instructions

1) Fill up the jar completely with hot water for about a minute.
2) Pour out almost all the water, but leave about one inch in the jar.
3) Put the strainer over the top of the jar.
4) Place a few (3-4) ice cubes in the strainer.
5) Watch what happens!
6) you need particles in the air for this to work - if it's not working light a match and hold in the top of the jar briefly then drop it in. Replace the strainer over the top of the jar
