Aim: Create numbers activity using the Bible. Taken from the BB Juniors Pro Pack Creativity CR-11

Resources

• Plain A4 paper
• Coloured A4 paper
• Stapler
• Colouring pens/pencils

Instructions

Fold 3 sheets of plain and 1 sheet of coloured A4 paper in half and staple the spine to form a simple booklet. Since the boys will be using both sides of the paper, and heavy use of felt pens will show through most regular paper, it is suggested that you use thicker (100gm) paper.
The white page inside the cover could be used for an index as each number needs a facing page of white pages.
For example, on the left of the first pair of pages stick thinly teased cotton wool to make the shape of ONE sheep, using felt pens to add black legs and face. While doing this, talk to the boys about the story of the lost sheep then encourage the boys to write their own thoughts on the right hand page.
On the next page, have the boys do a ‘brass rubbing’ of TWO coins while talking to them about the Widow’s offering (Mark 12:41-44). They again finish by writing their thoughts about the parable that Jesus told.
