Have the girls find key places on individual maps from around their homes.

A map printed for each girl, showing their house, shops, schools, parks etc.

Instructions

Give the girl a map each, showing their house and the surrounding neighbourhood.
Call out some key places one by one for them to find, such as a school, a park, a shop/restaurant etc.
You can also get them to draw a pathway that they could take to get to one of these places safely, including where to cross the road and thinking about the safest route.
At the end, you can get them to compare maps and see if another girl's house is on their map. On the floor, put together as many maps as you can like a jigsaw!
