Description

A sports day is a good opportunity to bring together all BB sections along with parents and relatives. Build the event as a "family fun day" and encourage parents to come along support and bring a picnic. Parents can then be drawn in to help. This is an ideal activity for any size Company, Battalion or Small District. This also has links to some activities but not all the links have been added. See also Discoverer K1

Instructions

Set-Up
This activity is best run on a school field unless your numbers are high (50+) then consider hiring a track. Parents could be encouraged to bring gazebos and deck chairs.

Consider which activities that you will run. Choose events that are appropriate for the young people that will attend. It is not appropriate for Anchors to run 1500 meters or Seniors sack races.

Tip
To encourage participation allocate 1 point for entry, then 10 points for a win 8 for second 6 for first, 4 for fourth, 2 for fifth and 1 for sixth. This will allow a small company to compete with a large one.
