Make poppies for Remembrance Day using the ends of 2l pop bottles, paint and sellotape Attach to a polystyrene Wreath using garden wire.
2L bottles (enough for 1 per child), just the non-cap ends are needed; paints (red & black), sellotape, polystyrene wreath, garden twine or wire.
Each child has a bottle-end, and paints it to resemble a poppy. While doing this, talk about Remembrance Sunday and what it means to wear a poppy.
A leader should be responsible for attaching the dried poppies to the wreath with garden wire; punch 2 small hole through the centre of each poppy and thread the wire through, tying it behind the wreath out of sight.
