Description

Taken from http://www.iwm.org.uk/history/10-ways-children-took-part-in-the-first-world-war. Hopefully giving the Scouts an overview of what children/scouts did during WW1 - 'doing their duty'

Resources

Projector, computer and speakers
PPT attached.

Instructions

Show attached PPT.
Each slide shows an item from the Imperial War Museum that illustrates how children helped the war effort during the first world war.
Notes for each item are in the 'notes' section of each slide (run in presenter mode to view notes during presentation).
The last slide is the scout association video showing the scouts on film for the first time (it was too big to include the downloaded video file, instead it is a youtube embed - downloading this video might be needed if no internet access at hut/hall)
