Create a 3d contour model from cardboard

Resources

Map photocopies
Height band table
Thick cardboard
Scissors
Craft Knifes
Colouring pens or highlighters
PVA Glue

Instructions

Explain map contours
Divide Scouts into teams or patrols
Direct Patrols to select suitable height bands for each member to cut out (ow/medium/high)
Each Scout take photocopy of map and trace along selected contour line
Use scissors to cut out paper outline
Glue outline to cardboard
Cut around paper outline
Glue all sections together in correct order.
