Learn about surface tension by finding out how many drops of water you can get to stay on the top of a coin.


Resources

> Pipettes (water droppers) - In NZ these can be purchased from Office Max, Easy Grow or online companies such as The Science Shop, Fishpond
> 50c Coin for each person
> Cups of water

Instructions

> Get the girls to use the pipette and try to put as many drops of water as they can onto the 50c coin
> Keep score - see who does the most!
