Instructions

Aim of Badge To explore different religious faiths from around the world.

This Badge has 5 options of which 5 must be completed.

Introduction
This activity will enable Brownies to gain information about different religions of the world.
 Photocopy pages 2, 3 ,4, 5, 6 and 7 (x6 times) onto card
 Laminate
 Cut page into individual piece of information
 Store in ziploc bag

Instructions
Play this game over a three-week period adding an additional piece of information each week.
Week one:
 pictures of places of worship
Week two:
 pictures of places of worship and holy book
Week three:
 pictures of places of worship, holy book and their prayer leader
To Play:
 Brownies form a circle
 Brownies number off in groups of four
 Each four becomes a family group
 Leader explains what each card represents
 Leaders place cards in centre of circle
 Leader calls out e.g. place of worship for Catholics, plus a number
 Brownie with the number steps out of circle and going in an anti-clockwise direction runs around outside of circle
 The remaining members of the family join hands in a circle
 Brownies go through their family circle and find the picture e.g. Church
 Runs back to family circle and holds up card
 Award points to each family with correct picture
