In teams of 4 prepare and cook a chicken curry on a tranja gas stove


1 x Gas burners & cartridges or meths burners & meths / group
Pan sets, wooden spoons, sharp knives, chopping boards and handle
measuring jug

Ingredients / group
450g of diced chicken
1 chopped onion
2 crushed cloves of garlic
2 tsp of garam masala
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground ginger
1 can of condensed tomato soup
60ml of water
150ml single cream
2 bags of boil in the bag rice


Prepare the ingredients
Heat the oil in the largest pan
Brown the chicken over a low heat
Add onions & stir until soft
Add garlic, garam masala, chilli powder, cumin & ginger and cook for 1 minute
Add soup, water & cream, bring to boll then reduce to simmer for 15 minutes or the sauce has thickened
Move off the heat and cover.
Half fill a smaller pan with water and bring to the boil
Add the two rice bags and simmer for 15 min or until rice is tender
Remove the rice from the heat, warm the curry briefly whilst serving the rice then serve the curry
