When forming patrols, you're trying to have them form a team that they will "own" and make their own.
The more you can do, to let them have creative freedom, sometimes the better.
Our American friends, have a company that supplies nearly 1,000 different patrol badges, if that helps you.
They also have a PDF catalog that could be printed or shared on a tablet to let the Scouts "make it their own"... sometimes the sillier, the better.

Not shared for commercial purposes, and we have no connection to them.... just been using their site for 5 years now, to make things just a little bit more exciting.
They even make custom patrol badges, so a few on there, we designed! (zombie llama patrol, moustache bunny patrol)
