Instructions
After covering table in paper or other form of protection and the YP are suitably dressed for painting. Get the pictures of poppy out and give a stone to each YP. See page 4 under 'Artwork for your garden'.
If you wish, you can paint your stone all white first and allow 15 to 20 minutes to dry.
They then paint a poppy on. Painting the poppy first thing in the meeting will allow it to be dry by the end of the meeting when the YP can add a central black middle to their poppy.
Optional: You can also add the names of people form your local war memorial to remember individuals . Our Beavers hid their stones locally and then parents were encouraged to participate in the local Rocks Hunting Facbook Page. Beavers loved to see their stones being found and re-hidden.
