Instructions

Symptoms:
* Difficulty breathing or speaking
* Wheezing
* Coughing
* Distress
* Grey-blue tinge to the lips, earlobes and nailbeds

Treatment:
* Stop activity
* Sit down
* Keep patient calm and reassure them
* Breathe slowly and deeply
* Help them find their inhaler and take it (one or two puffs every 2 mins, until they've had 10 puffs)
* Call 999 if they don't have an inhaler or don't get better in a few minutes, or become exhausted.
* Monitor responsiveness and if necessary, treat for unresponsiveness (recovery position etc)
